I wrote some poetry Put some pictures in a book I sorted through my life again I’d forgotten how it looked You’re always right here next to me Screwing up my head You’re not the one for sympathy Yes, I remember what you said If I put down the bottle If I put down the needle I’m afraid they’ll stop to notice how I’m Not like other people Doctors spread addictions, my Neuroses calmed by chemicals Everybody, everybody, everybody knows Those dogs were looking for any sleep Sleep the way I never could I liked it when your hair was red This picture’s worth 10,000 words I’m utterly predictable I thought about you late last night I find you irresistible Still it left me feeling sick inside If I put down the bottle If I put down the needle I’m afraid they’ll stop to notice how I’m Not like other people Doctors spread addictions, my Neuroses calmed by chemicals Everybody, everybody, everybody knows I made it all up None of it was true I made it all up Just to get to you I made it all up None of it was true I made it all up Just to get to you I could paint you in a picture I could sing you in a song I could sit you in the corner for the Things that you’ve done wrong And it’d make you feel better if this Leo made you queen I wish of you my baby blue, and say “Go ahead, take everything” If I put down the bottle If I put down the needle I’m afraid they’ll stop to notice how I’m Not like other people Doctors spread addictions, my Neuroses calmed by chemicals Everybody, everybody, everybody knows If I put down the bottle If I put down the needle I’m afraid they’ll stop to notice how I’m Not like other people Doctors spread addictions, my Neuroses calmed by chemicals Everybody, everybody, everybody knows

Evil is as evil does You’re beautiful, I never was I can’t go to sleep I could give a shit About the lovers that you choose About the self respect you lose Or a promise you can’t keep I could throw a fit I could make your mother cry With the truth, I choose to lie I really can’t say why Can’t you see I quit? I’ve got these scales on my back And my arms are filled with tracks And I can’t go to sleep I could give a shit About the lovers that you choose About the self respect you lose Or a promise you can’t keep I could throw a fit I could make your mother cry With the truth, I choose to lie I really can’t say why Can’t you see I quit? It was on the tip…tip of my tongue I waited for the words…but never did they come I want a new release…I’m not the only one These ghosts don’t ever leave…when things are left undone We need a cure for love A way to stop the sick Give it to us now Give it to me quick Put it in a pill Put it in a shot Give it to me now Just give me what you got I could make your mother cry With the truth, I choose to lie I really can’t say why Can’t you see I quit? It was on the tip…tip of my tongue I waited for the words…but never did they come I want a new release…I’m not the only one These ghosts don’t ever leave…when things are left undone Omissions of a liar and the flames were burning higher Omissions of a liar again? Omissions of a liar and the flames were burning higher Omissions of a liar again? It was on the tip…tip of my tongue I waited for the words…but never did they come I want a new release…I’m not the only one These ghosts don’t ever leave…when things are left undone

It’s not that I love you, it’s not that I care But I’ve needed you here, I’ve needed you there My head’s such a mess, but my heart’s even worse People say it’s a gift, but I swear it’s a curse It’s not like you said it would be I took it all back when you said that you need me It’s not like you said it would be You never came back, Never said you were leaving me Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess and Let’s start a war Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess But what the hell, what the hell for? It’s not that I love you It’s not that I care I needed you most when you could not be there It’s not like you said it would be I took it all back when you said that you need me It’s not like you said it would be You never came back, Never said you were leaving me Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess and Let’s start a war Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess But what the hell, what the hell for? You said tell me When you get that feeling When you’re dying inside Swallow more than your pride I just can’t go on anymore She said tell me Did you start believing”? When you’re sick of this place I know I have no place And you just can’t go on anymore Well, not anymore… It’s not like you said it would be I took it all back when you said that you need me It’s not like you said it would be You never came back, Never said you were leaving me Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess and Let’s start a war Let’s buy a gun Let’s love the whore Let’s kill a goddess But what the hell, what the hell for?

Tomorrow 04:33

about

After his wedding in May of 2022, it appeared as if things couldn’t get any better for my lifelong friend and bandmate, Matthew Lee Clark. But as it often does, life had other plans.

Mere weeks after their wedding day, Matt’s new wife Bria began experiencing life-threatening seizures, and her condition quickly spiraled out of control. In an effort to get her the care she so desperately needed, they moved from Chicago to Austin, where Matt became her sole caretaker.

That is when the unthinkable happened.

Less than a year after their wedding day, Matt suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke, and was rushed into emergency neurosurgery to remove a piece of his skull. Since then, he has endured a relentless string of tragedies that can only be described as horrifying; the worst of these being Bria’s unexpected and untimely passing last fall. With the loss of Bria, Matt now finds himself alone in a skilled nursing facility with mounting medical bills, a future filled with ongoing medical care, and no way to earn an income.

Immediately following his stroke, a countless number of Matt’s friends and musical cohorts reached out to me to ask how they could donate money to help him out. But due to the instability of his situation, and some complex private family matters, a decision was made to temporarily hold off on any sort of fundraising for him. And so unfortunately, my response always had to be the same: “There is nothing set up at the moment, but when the time comes, I will absolutely let you know.”

Well, that time is NOW!

In lieu of a GoFundMe campaign, Matt has asked me to help him raise funds by releasing ‘The Angels Have All Gone Insane,’ the debut EP from our project called The Human Element. Matt wrote, arranged, produced and mixed this EP, making its release the perfect way to showcase his amazing talents, AND raise some much-needed money for his ongoing medical care.

Help can come in many forms, so let’s be extremely clear. At this moment, Matt desperately needs money. Not only have his medical expenses been accumulating since last May, but he is also looking to rebuild his future, whatever that may look like. And that’s what this release is all about.

The lowest asking price for ‘The Angels Have All Gone Insane’ is a meager $5, but we have made it possible for you to pay as much as you’d like. And while every little bit helps, this is your chance to show Matthew that you truly care by paying as much as you can comfortably afford. And you can rest assured, knowing that 100% of the money we make will go *directly* to his care. In exchange you will receive this soul-baring 4-song EP that is so honest, it can only be seen as a tiny piece of the man who created it.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for your generosity and support!
